results this way. Often times people find themselves right back where they started because they didn't learn the lifestyle changes needed to
getting a flat tummy.
This article is going to outline the changes in your diet and fitness routines that need to happen in order to get a flat belly. I'll also
suggest a book you can get that will give you even more detail about what you can do to burn tummy fat, and develop a set of great abdominal

Diet Changes to Get a Flat Tummy
- Reducing calories is an obvious one. You gained the tummy fat you have now by eating more calories each day then you should be. If you
cut calories right away you will naturally start to lose some weight.
- Change what you're eating right now. If you tend to snack on chocolate, chips or crackers through the day switch that to a piece of fruit
or carrot sticks now. This will allow you to snack through out the day but reduce the calories by 70% - 80% per snack.
- Drink more water, might not seem like a diet trick to get a flat tummy but our bodies don't perform well if their dehydrated. You won't
get rid of as many toxins, and you may experience tiredness and headaches often.
- If you don't need the snack, don't eat it. To many of us snack for sport almost. We're bored so we grab a snack. Plan out your meals and
snacks for the day especially if you work outside the home. Always brown bag it for lunch and snacks so you reduce the chances of eating
something bad.
- A little trick some diets use to burn fat quickly is to change your eating habits from three meals a day to five. Each meal would be
smaller but this will increase your metabolism and help you burn more calories each day.

Fitness Changes to a Flat Tummy
- Specific tummy and ab workouts aren't best. They do build up abdominal strength but unless you shed the fat that covers over this area
with a combination of diet changes and exercise they're a waste of time.
- Best workouts are high intensity and sustained. Think a 30 minute fast paced walk or jog
- Cardio isn't the only thing you can do to get a flat tummy. Consider other endurance exercises you can do from home like Pilates and
Yoga. Both of these offer great fitness benefits as well as a relaxing effect.
- Try to avoid focusing on building muscle. This is fine after you're lean, but until then you're not focusing on burning the fat. You need
to burn the fat first then change over to building lean muscle.
- Commit to doing 30 minutes of some activity each and every day. Mix it up for yourself so it doesn't get boring and challenge yourself.
If you want big results then take big action.
