Diet for Six Pack Abs
To get six pack abs it takes hard work, and a low body fat
percentage. Most people get the hard work part right, but they
miss following a simple diet for six pack abs. Because of this
they struggle to get a defined set of abs, when really they
already have them they're just hiding out under the thin layer
of fat on their stomach.
This article will cover a brief overview of a proper diet
for six pack abs. I'll also make reference to what I consider
to be the abdominal handbook, The Truth about abs. In it you can find
simple to follow daily meal plans that will help you get
lean, and develop six pack abs.

The Secrets of a Diet for Six Pack Abs
Your caloric intake is the real secret when following a diet
for six pack abs. How much or how little you eat is important,
but more important is how many calories you consume during a
day. If it's to many then you're going to have a very big up
hill battle to get lean. Knowing your required daily amount of
calories, and how many you eat on average each day is a
must.
Some Eating tips for Six Pack Abs
- Cut out high fat snacks, and foods. This means no more
cookies, crackers, or chips. You can't waste daily calories
on small servings of food that doesn't offer any
nutritional value.
- Drink water like there's no tomorrow. We're supposed to
drink 6-8 glasses of water each day. Most of us don't
get anywhere close to that. Drinking water is a must
- Eat smaller meals and more often. This helps speed up
metabolism, so try eating five times a day, or about every
three hours your awake. Eat the same amount you would if
you ate your three regular meals just divide it up over
five. This is a key secret in a diet for six pack abs, and
most fat loss plans
- Eat the basics, and avoid processed foods. Especially
fast foods, or pre made microwave dinners. Think lean
meats, fish, poultry and lots of fruits and
vegetables.
For an in depth analysis of what you should be eating to get
lean I suggest reading The Truth About Abs. The book was written
by Mike Geary, a certified nutritionist and personal
trainer. It's probably the most authoritative book on eating
and working out to get six pack abs.
